Hydrangea petiolaris is a large self-clinging climber with dark green broad oval leaves which turn yellow in autumn. It has large white flowers. The flowers have a delicate fragrance.
Flowers from late summer to early autumn.
Height can reach up to 15m, spread 4m-8m
Likes partial to full shade. does need shelter from cold wind.
Easy to grow in most soils.
This is a deciduous plant so will lose its leaves in the late autumn/winter. New shoots will appear in the spring.
